Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

J K Rowling

Review

I almost wasn't going to write this - what's the point? Every HP book has been engrossing from start to finish and this one is no different.

The school year rolls around again and hijinx are afoot again, even before Hogwarts starts. Harry is in unwitting peril throughout while the OotP tries to kept him safe, even while keeping him purposefully in the dark.

There's not much more that I can add to this except to heap on the praise. HP has become an icon, each book a classic, making the wait between them that much harder to take.

Review

This is where I prove that my geek credential aren't worth the electrons they're printed on.

It bored me. Terribly. I kept pushing myself, trying to slog through this book. It's a classic, right? It added 'grok' to the lexicon, right?

I just couldn't care. Sorry. Did not finish.
